For four years, I’ve been a part of the Breakfasters on Triple R (102.7 FM). Triple R is a jewel in the Melbourne cultural landscape, supported by more than 10,000 subscribers who put up their hard-earned to ensure there’s at least one station on the air that’s not giving away mobile phones.

My fellow Breakfasters are Fee B Squared and Sam Pang. Fee drives the show, pushing buttons and choosing the music, while Sam sits in the back seat with his elbow out the window, yelling at Fee, trying to get her to play Murray Head’s ‘One Night in Bangkok’. My job is to read the news, help with the interviews and tell interminable stories about the flux capacitor in the Back to the Future trilogy.

Upon the departure of John Safran (2002) and Angus Sampson (2003) as Breakfasters, I committed myself to expressing my feelings through song. The following is the result.
